COVID-19 Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund III (ESSER III Fund)
Clovis Municipal Schools is preparing to apply for federal emergency relief funds to address the impact that COVID-19 has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools across the Nation. As part of this process, the District is seeking public input to help guide how the funds should be used in local schools.
The District has been allocated a portion of the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund III (ESSER III Fund) award given to the state of New Mexico. To receive the allocated funding, which is $16.4 million, Clovis Schools must submit an application, outlining in part, priorities to which the funds will be applied.
To give the community a voice in how funds would be prioritized, the District is inviting families and community members to submit comments on educational needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic, which could potentially be addressed through ESSER funding.
