WELCOME TO Barry Elementary School! We are located at 3401 Thornton Street. Our enrollment is approximately 300 students. We offer a state-of-the-art learning environment and we employ well-trained teachers and staff. During recent years Barry has earned the following academic awards: 1998 1998 2000 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 Barry Elementary has an excellent music program. Students perform in three programs per year and 6th grade students are encouraged to participate in band. Music is an important part of our students' education. Our physical education program is outstanding. We have a dedicated coach, who believes in teaching students not only the sport, but also the rules, good sportsmanship, and team spirit. We participate yearly in the President's Physical Fitness Program. The library at Barry Elementary is automated with an excellent choice of books for readers of all levels. We currently have over 9,800 titles to choose from. Our school actively participates in the Accelerated Reader Program, which motivates students to read and to continually improve their reading ability.
