 Welcome to Mrs. Ingram’s First Grade Classroom!
We are located in Classroom 1 at Cameo Elementary. We have an exciting year planned. Our goal is that EVERY child will be at grade level in every subject especially reading and math.
About Me
This is my sixth year with Clovis Municipal Schools. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from University of Phoenix and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in General Business from West Texas State University. This will be my third year at Cameo as a classroom teacher. My experience includes kindergarten, first grade, and sixth grade.
Expectations
All students will be ready for the next class grade. In order to have every student ready, it will take a joint effort between parents, students, and myself. Working together, we can make sure your child will succeed. |
My Philosophy
My education philosophy is that every student has individual needs, talents, and intelligence. Each student deserves to be treated with respect, love, and kindness. The classroom should be safe, engaging, and focused on providing each student the opportunity to reach his or her potential and exceed first grade standards. Our students are our future leaders. They will need basic skills to help them succeed. Parents and guardians are the most important part of that success. |

Homework
Each week, your child will have a reading passage, spelling words, and high-frequency words sent home for your child’s homework. It should take 10-20 minutes each night to complete the assignments. Approximately 2-3 days a week, your child will have a short math homework page. This will help you know what your child is learning at school. These sheets will take about 10 minutes to complete for most students.
