| TWENTY-FOUR units of credit are required to successfully complete high school and earn a Clovis High School diploma. Credit is awarded on the basis of ONE CREDIT PER CLASS PERIOD FOR THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR. For a one semester course, .5 credit will be issued. A student must have earned at least 15 credits and have successfully completed two years of English to be classified as a senior. Only students fulfilling ALL requirements have the option to march in the commencement ceremony. |

All students are required to have 24 credits from the following:
Class of 2011&2012
English – 4 credits
Math – 3 credits
Science – 3 credits (two of which shall have a laboratory component)
Social Science – 3.5 credits
- U.S. History (1.0 credit)
- World History (1.0 credit)
- Government (.5 credit)
- Economics (.5 credit)
- NM History (.5 credit)
Communication Skills – 1 credit
Physical Education – 1 credit
Electives – 8.5 credits
- Class of 2011 must pass all 6 portions of the NMHSCE.
- Class of 2012 must pass the New Mexico Standards Based Assessment to graduate from Clovis High School. A student has three chances to pass this test: spring of 11th grade, fall of 12th grade, and winter of 12th grade.
Class of 2013&2014:
English – 4 credits
Math – 4 credits (One shall be equivalent to or higher than Algebra II)
Science – 3 credits (two of which shall have a laboratory component)
Social Science – 3.5 credits
