College Entrance Testing

College Entrance Tests
ACT or SAT
Which Test is for Me?

When trying to decide which test to take, we suggest you research the college or colleges of your choice. Each college will list entrance exam requirements. Colleges can easily be researched on the Internet. Most colleges and universities have home pages that can be accessed at the following address:
www.nameofschool.edu

For more information on the ACT or SAT, log
on to www.kaptest. com or www.actstudent.org.
There are two college entrance assessments: the American College Test (ACT) and the College Entrance Examination Board (SAT). To gain admission to a vast majority of colleges, a student should take one of these test at least once during their senior year.

NOTE: The CHS Guidance staff recommends that students take one of these exams during the second term of the junior year and use the senior year to improve their score.

ACT and SAT packets are available in the guidance office.
