April will be a very busy month! We will be finishing with SBA testing and there are many events during this time. Here is a calendar of our events for April: April 5th-Writing I & Writing 2 April 6th-Science I & Science 2 April 7th-Science 3 April 8th-Cultural Fair with Lockwood 5:30-7:30 April 19th-Parent Teacher Conferences April 19th-Kindergarten Registration Students must be 5 years old by September 1 April 20th-Poetry Assembly 9:30 am April 21st-Voces Poéticas in Albuquerque April 29th-1st and 6th grade Field Trip April 30th-Folklórico dances in Portales 8:00-2:00 April 30th-All Money due for Cinco de Mayo Coronation	Abril será un mes con muchas actividades! Terminaremos con las pruebas del estado y tendremos muchos eventos. Cultural Fair/Feria Cultural
Thursday night on April 8th La Casita will join Lockwood Elementary staff and families in a Cultural Fair event. The purpose of the fair is to inform our familiies of the importance of Census 2010 and to help fill out the Census forms. We invite you to a night of fun and games. Many prizes will be awarded that night. You might win a bike, a computer, a digital camera and many other gifts. We will also serve hot dogs and hamburgers. Families are eligible to win if they fill out their Census form and leave it in an identified location for mailing the 2010 Census form. The location and fun filled night will be at Lockwood Elementary. La Casita, Lockwood and ENLACE staff will be there to assist you in filling out the forms. This event is sponsored by La Casita, Lockwood and ENLACE. I look forward to seeing our families at this special event.	El 8 de abril La Casita se unirá con el personal y familias de Lockwood en un evento de Feria Cultural. El propósito de la feria es informar a nuestros familiias de la importancia del Censo del 2010 y para ayudar a llenar los formularios del Censo. Te invitamos a una noche de diversión y juegos. Muchos premios serán otorgados esa noche. Podrán ganar una bicicleta, una computadora, una cámara digital y muchos otros regalos. También serviremos perros calientes y hamburguesas. Las familias son elegibles para ganar llenan su forma de Censos y si se entrega en un lugar indicado para enviar por correo el formulario del Censo del 2010. La ubicación y noche de diversión estará en Lockwood. La Casita, Lockwood y el personal de Enlace estarán ahí para ayudarle a llenar los formularios.
