Bestella Mayo Gardner  Secretary at Lincoln-Jackson Family Center I have 27 years of experience within the Clovis Municipal Schools. I believe in community and family involvement and I enjoy helping others in whatever way I can. I feel that involvement leads to success, which is something I practice in my personal and professional life. I grew up in Delhi, Louisiana and I graduated from Ester Toombs High School. After graduation I attended Robinson Business College in Monroe, Louisiana. Once I finished college I went to work for a Life Insurance Company in Monroe, Louisiana. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Reno, Nevada to continue my education. I then graduated and was employed by Bell Telephone Company, were I was the first black employee to hold an office position. I married my husband, who was in the Air Force and we came to Clovis, New Mexico from Heraculum, Greece in 1975. I began working at Lincoln-Jackson Elementary school in 1979. In 2001 it became Lincoln-Jackson Arts Academy and then in 2006 the school was re-designed into the Lincoln-Jackson Family Center where I still continue to serve as the school secretary. I am very proud to be associated with such wonderful Parents, Student Body, Faculty, and School District. I believe in strong family unity and positive Community growth and development. Lincoln-Jackson Family Center is about helping and teaching parents to become more involved with their children’s education, it takes all of us to work as a team to be successful. My Motto “Involvement Leads to Success.” |
