When Not To Send Your Child to Preschool

Students with any of the following symptoms should be kept at home. If a child comes to school exhibiting any of the symptoms listed below, you will be called to pick up your child.

  1. A temperature of 100 degrees or above within the last 24 hours.
  2. Any skin disorders (for example:  impetigo, ringworm or unidentified rashes).
  3. Vomiting within the last 24 hours.
  4. Excessive infectious nasal discharge.
  5. Excessive diarrhea.
  6. Excessive coughing

Once the above symptoms have been treated by a doctor or have subsided, the student may return to school. If treated by a doctor, a note from the doctor stating diagnosis and treatment, and date released back to school, is requested. This ensures the health and safety of your child as well as all other preschoolers. Many of our students have chronic health problems and do not need to be exposed to infection unnecessarily.

If your child will be absent, please call the secretary at 769-4545. In addition, if your child rides the bus, please call the Transportation Department at ( 762-7424).
