Siobahn Liles
Hey! My name is Siobahn Liles. This is my second year with Clovis School System and I love it!! I am currently working on my bachelors degree to become a early education childhood teacher. I have a 2 year old son named Kealan. We just moved back to Clovis about 2 years ago from Minnesota, which I miss everyday even the snow. I lived here for 9 years before that but started in the north. So I am a Yankee at heart. I have always enjoyed working with young children even with coaching. I have coached volleyball, soccer, tennis and swimming. Teaching was not always my intention but has become my passion.
Sharon Goins
My name is Sharon Goins and I am very excited to be at Los Niños with the Family Literacy Program. Even though this is my first year at Los Niños, I have been with the Clovis schools for going on thirteen years. I graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I am currently finishing my Masters degree in Educational Administration. My previous teaching positions for the Clovis district consist of teaching ten years at Mesa Elementary and one year at Bella Vista Elementary as a Special Education Teacher. After returning from Texas, I taught 3rd grade last year at Cameo Elementary. While in Texas, I taught for the Lake Worth Independent School District in Lake Worth (outside of Fort Worth) for four years. During this time, I taught one year of 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Special Education English, one year as an 8th Grade English Teacher, and two years as a 6th Grade English Teacher at Collins Middle School.
I was born in Washington, D.C. and lived most of my childhood in the state of Maryland. I graduated from Northwestern High School (which is the same school that Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets, graduated from). After getting married, I raised my four children while working in an insurance office and as a mail carrier until we moved to New Mexico in 1984. After arriving to New Mexico, I worked at Eastern New Mexico University as the Secretary to the Vice President of Business Affairs and as Graduation Coordinator. For a short time, I worked as the Secretary to the Warden at Corrections Corporation of America in Grants. I have been married to my wonderful husband, John, for over 36 years. I have four children and daughter and son-in-laws of which I am extremely proud of, Brian (Eva), Jason (Amanda), Kimberly (Chad), and Justin (Natasha). I also have eight adorable grandchildren, Machaela (12), Donovan (10), Damian (8), Ashlynne (7), Anton (7), Dakota (6), Savana (4), and Tyler (2). Currently I have two ìfour footed childrenî at home, Oliver (my thirteen year old Cocker Spaniel) and Stanley (my seven year old daschund).
My hobbies include taking ìrelaxingî vacations (California being my favorite place to go), watching 1950 sitcoms, and cake decorating.
