| Employee handbook Purpose Employee communications are critical to all organizations and this CMS Employee Handbook is a basic communication document for Clovis Municipal Schools. The CMS Employee Handbook is given to each employee, and each employee should utilize it as a reference. Our intent is to give employees answers to often asked questions that are related to employment, policies, procedures, and regulations. It does not cover all aspects of your employment with the District. Therefore, employees should use this only as a guide to seek information. As a condition of employment, each employee is expected to read and familiarize him/herself with the information provided in this revised handbook. If you have questions, or if any of this material is unclear, please discuss them with your supervisor. Also, school sites and departments may have additional guidelines and procedures that are specific to that site or department. You should become familiar with these and follow them at all times. The District reserves the right to make necessary changes in its procedures and policies that may be different as those stated in this handbook. No employee has the right to make verbal promises or commitments. And, the absence of information in this handbook does not restrict the District's right to take action or to formulate policy. When there is a conflict between this document and CMS Board Policy or District Regulations, those documents will govern. Nothing in this handbook constitutes a contract or part of a contract with any employee.
