Unemployment Compensation
Clovis Municipal Schools has New Mexico Unemployment Compensation Act coverage. Cost of the coverage is borne totally by the school. Eligibility is determined by the Employment Services Division based on the circumstances of each case and the provisions of the Unemployment Compensation Act. It is the responsibility of each supervisor to notify the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel for each case of employee separation. The Employment Security Division allows the school a maximum of ten (10) days for a response to an unemployment claim. It is the supervisor’s responsibility to insure that all data (letters of resignation, discharge notes, letters from the Employment Services Division) is immediately transmitted to the Personnel Office.
