- The twelve-month employee will also have holidays as approved by the Superintendent. It is the intent that 12-month employees have a total of 260 contract days consisting of paid holidays and workdays. Any additional identified holidays will be unpaid holidays.
- NOTE: Vacation Leave taken before and after holidays and taken immediately before or after the beginning of the instructional year or the end of the instructional year may require approval by BOTH the immediate supervisor AND the Superintendent.
- Twelve-month employees may carry over into each new fiscal year a maximum of twenty (20) days of vacation. Any days that have been accumulated in excess of this twenty (20) day maximum on June 30 of each contract year will be forfeit without compensation. If workloads disallow vacations as established, the Superintendent may approve vacation days during the school year. (Vacation leave accumulated by employees prior to July 1, 1999 shall not be forfeited.)
- Full-time employees who have worked in a position where their working year was less than twelve (12) months and are then transferred to a twelve (12) month position or their position is changed to a twelve (12) month position, will earn vacation just as if all of their experience was in twelve (12) month positions.
- Due to the need of the District to have all employees on duty at certain periods of the year, use of vacation days must be approved by the employee's immediate supervisor.
