The RV staff welcomes all our new families to Clovis and to The Ranch.  Please know that we are here to ensure your child/children get the best education possible, but to also support our families wherever possible.  If we can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call upon us. Together we are a dynamite team.

OPEN HOUSE/PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT INVITATION:  To begin the new school year, we would like to invite our 1st – 6th grade families to an Open House/ Parent Information time on Wednesday, August 11th from 4:30 – 6:30. We will gather in the gym (4:30 – 5:00)  where Mrs. Brockmeier will welcome families and review some important policies and procedures before dismissing parents to their child’s classroom.  In the classroom, parents will receive a school handbook (in classroom of oldest child at RV), curriculum overview, classroom expectations/procedures, schedule, etc.  There will be a few forms that will need to be filled out.  This is an extremely important meeting and I encourage all families to be represented.  If you have children in more than one classroom, you will have an opportunity to get that classroom information also at the end of the first classroom presentation. This is also an opportunity to meet parents and students from the classroom.  Class assignments will be posted on the front windows.

KINDERGARTEN SCREENING & Open House:  Kindergarten students do not begin classes until Tuesday, August 17th.  Staff will conduct initial screenings on August 12th and 13th.  Parents will be contacted to arrange a screening time.  Kindergarten class assignments will be made on the 16th and given to parents at the Parent Information Night meeting that evening beginning at 5:30 in the gym.

RANCHVALE HOURS: School hours for students are 7:30 – 2:40 (parent pick-up)/ 2:45 (bus students).  Wednesday release is 12:25 for parent pick up and 12:30 for bus students. Staff released 3:10, office 4:00.

BREAKFAST-IN-THE-CLASSROOM:  Ranchvale participates in the Breakfast-in-the-classroom program .All students who are present are provided a breakfast free of charge at 7:30 when they report to their classrooms. Students arriving late should plan to eat at home before coming, as we clean up from breakfast at 7:45.

FREE/REDUCED LUNCH FORMS will be sent home with every child.  Each family should fill one out for their family.  If you are not interested in participating, enter your child’s name, write not interested and fill in the signature section. 

SAFETY LANES:  RV has drop-off/pick-up lanes at the north end of the building. These lanes provide safety for parents and students.  Students who are released at 2:40 for parent pick-up walk to the north end of the building watching for parents in the safety lanes.  This is a no-parking area, so please wait in the cool of your vehicle and we will walk your children out to you and help them get in the vehicle safely.  Of course if you need to visit with a teacher after students are released, do feel free to park elsewhere and come in.  Students are not allowed to cross SR 311 by themselves.  The north door is opened early for students being dropped off in the morning.  Students coming in before 7:30 may go to the computer lab to work on extra sessions.  Kindergarten students may go to the library at 7:15.
