Science Fair:

Science Fair will be March 2nd. All projects are due first thing that morning (NO later). A Science project is Mandatory for grades 4th-6th. Kindergarten through Third grades may also participate.

Letter from the Prinicpal

Dear Parents:
March is an exciting time at Sandia. I want to invite everyone to our family reading night featuring Dr. Seuss on March 2, 2010. This event promises to be fun for the whole family. We will have guest readers, fun activities, and dinner. Also on March 2nd, we will be showcasing the Science Fair projects and announcing the winners from each grade level.

March also means testing. The New Mexico Standards Based Assessment dates have been scheduled for March 29th-April 7th. This is the state test for the 3rd-6thgrade. I know how hard the students have been working and think this is a great chance for Sandia to show what we know. We will be sending out more information about the assessment as the dates near.

5:50-6:10     Visit a Guest Reader
6:15-6:30     Visit a Guest Reader
6:35-7:00     Visit a Classroom Activity

Guest Readers will be in the following areas:

Room 13: Krissy Carter - “Horton Hears a Who”

Room 12: Cindy Martin - “Yertle the Turtle”

**Classroom visits are through out the school.
