Literacy Specialist

CMS employs Literacy Specialists who assist in developing a deeper understanding of the reading process, assessment, and approaches to teaching reading in order to help meet the needs of a diverse student population in a variety of schools throughout the school district. Additionally, they provide professional development, staff meeting instruction, and mentoring, as well as assistance with small intervention groups.
