Ways to Share Books

1. Make a book jacket.
2. Prepare a one-page newspaper based on the book.
3. Make a diorama.
4. Write a letter to the author, telling him how enjoyable his book was.
5. Make a poster.
6. Draw a picture illustrating part of the book.
7. Write a letter to a friend recommending the book.
8. Prepare a TV or radio broadcast of the story.
9. Write a business letter to a librarian stating why the book should be purchased.
10. Keep a diary for a character from the book.
11. Make a comic strip telling the story.
12. Write a ballad or a folk song telling the story.
13. Create a puppet show about the story.
14. Make a mobile showing scenes about the story.

All projects must include the TITLE, AUTHOR, a list of MAIN CHARACTERS, and a brief SUMMARY of the plot.

When you return to school you will give 4-5 minute presentation of this book to your Advisory class. The presentation should include:

1. Introduction (Title, Author, Main ideas)
2. Plot Summary
3. Personal Review (What you thought about the book and why)
4. Project explanation
5. Conclusion
