Dear Parents and Students,

I would like to take this time to personally welcome you to Yucca Middle School.  Our staff has spent significant time in developing the following belief statements that we are committed to each and every day.

2. We believe that students can exceed their own expectations. 
3. We believe parents are partners in education for their child. 
4. We believe learning is maximized when it is challenging and meaningful.
5. We believe that teaching is challenging in a changing society. 
6. We believe education is a life long process.

In addition to our strong academic program, we offer programs that enhance a student’s individual expression, as well as teamwork. These programs include, Music, Art, Athletics, Student Council, FCCLA, National Junior Honor Society, Journalism, Drill Team, Cheerleading and Mock Trial.
Parent participation is encouraged at Yucca Middle School. Please contact the school if you can volunteer in any capacity.  Last year, parents made copies, sold popcorn, assisted in team activities and spoiled our staff.
I encourage all Parents to sign up for Family Access.  There is a form on the CMS website, as well as in the office that you will need to fill out in order to gain access to this awesome opportunity.  From any computer, you can check on your student’s attendance, grades, food service status, etc.  This truly is helpful for monitoring student progress.  As well, I often send out memos, calendars, and other pertinent communication through Family Access.
