Hello Zia Parents,

Many physicians and health experts suggest that elementary school age children should be getting at least 60 minutes of cardiovascular exercise a day. However, with the cold weather here and the daylight hours after school have dwindled, most kids tend not to get all the physical exercise their bodies need. Remember without proper nutrition and exercise our kids will not be performing in school and at home as well as they can. They also begin to become more anxious and irritable which leads to more disagreements between friends, siblings and even parents. In an effort to help curve this, I wanted to pass on a few ideas about how to keep your kids active and eating healthy, even during the winter.
