CMS iAcademy was created to provide Clovis Municipal Schools' parents and students with a flexible, innovative alternative to the traditional academic environment. Our goal is to foster student success by offering personalized learning opportunities, cutting-edge technology, and a supportive classroom atmosphere.
iAcademy serves students in grades 1-12, offering in-person instruction for grades 1-12 and a virtual learning option for grades 3-8. It is not a disciplinary program but rather an academically focused initiative designed to help students thrive through individualized instruction, flexible scheduling, and modern teaching strategies.
Elementary Academy (Grades 1-6)
Our Elementary Academy features three multi-age classrooms:
1st & 2nd grade (one classroom)
3rd & 4th grade (one classroom)
5th & 6th grade (one classroom)
Each class is limited to approximately 15 students, ensuring a small, focused learning environment. Students attend school Monday through Friday following a regular schedule. Our curriculum integrates STEM/STEAM-based learning, encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills essential for success in the 21st century.
Secondary Academy (Grades 7-12)
The Secondary Academy is also limited to approximately 15 students per grade and follows a hybrid learning model:
7th-9th grade students attend Wednesday-Friday in person.
10th-12th grade students attend Monday-Tuesday in person.
On non-attendance days, students complete coursework online using Edgenuity, a comprehensive digital curriculum.
To ensure a smooth transition to this hybrid format, new iAcademy students and all 7th graders must attend in-person classes five days a week for the first nine weeks of enrollment. This structured introduction helps build a strong academic foundation before shifting to the hybrid schedule.
