Challenge Exams for Clovis Municipal Schools
The Clovis Municipal Schools will be administering a Challenge Exam July 15, 2009 for any student who believes he/she can demonstrate proficiency in the essential knowledge and skills required for the Contemporary New Mexico History course.
A student who has received prior instruction in the course—but did not receive credit
for it—may be permitted by the District to earn credit by passing an exam on the essential knowledge and skills defined for the course.
A passing score of no less than 85% is required to receive credit for the course on
the student’s high school transcript.
There will be a $25.00 non-refundable fee for the exam. Please submit your payment
along with this application no later than June 30, 2009. Make checks or money orders payable to Clovis Municipal

Renovation And Construction Overview
It is an exciting time to be in Clovis, NM. Clovis Municipal Schools has over 30 million dollars in funds for additions and renovations to several of our schools. The following projects are currently under design for construction and renovation. Summer Reading Fest
June 22 to August 2
Free 6-week summer reading event called Letter P.A.L.S. Summerfest 2009. The event consists of a set of 24 online Pet Shop Pen Pals weekly letters, which are delivered one at a time, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Letterpals web site. Each daily letter is personalized with the child's name, is 3 pages in length, professionally written, beautifully illustrated, and reviewed by reading specialists for use in a shared/guided reading environment. To see what a sample letter looks like, click on the computer on the home page. Registration is currently available for teachers to sign-up their students. Parent registration begins May 1.
