ECHS Graduation

Today marks an important day in the lives of many of our high school students, as they receive their college degrees – yes, that’s right, college degrees – and they haven’t graduated from high school yet.

But wait, it gets better…

They are taking home a whopping 106 degrees – but there are only 53 graduates.

Funny math? Nope, just a group of kids that took an opportunity and ran with it, earning MULTIPLE degrees simultaneously and all while still in high school!

These 53 Early College High School students will march across the stage again next Friday, when they will celebrate with their fellow Wildcats at the Clovis High School graduation ceremony, but at 6 p.m. today, they will join their collegiate peers at the Clovis Community College Commencement Ceremony.

The implications are astounding – half of their undergraduate work was FREE, they will start college as juniors, and could be graduate students before the age of 25.

This year, of the students who will graduate from the Early College High School program:

  •      53 earned a college degree

  •      45 earned more than one degree

  •     37 earned TWO degrees

  •      8 earned THREE degrees

ECHS GRADUATES, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL – WAY TO MAKE IT COUNT!
