Clovis, NM - Clovis High School Freshman Academy is proud to announce that it has been awarded a grant to cover the cost of Food Handlers Certifications for students enrolled in the Food and Nutrition program. This grant will benefit approximately 170-180 students annually, providing them with essential food safety training.

The Food Handlers Certification is a critical credential for students interested in pursuing part-time work in the food industry and for those advancing to higher-level culinary courses, such as ProStart I and II, offered at Clovis High School. This grant eliminates the financial barrier associated with certification, allowing students to focus on learning and gaining hands-on experience.

The Clovis High School Freshman Academy is committed to workforce readiness and enhancing student success through comprehensive educational experiences. This initiative marks a significant step in supporting students as they work towards their career goals in the culinary industry.
