Clovis High School AFJROTC Earns Highest Unit Assessment Rating

CLOVIS, NM — The Clovis High School Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) unit achieved an outstanding milestone during its recent Unit Assessment conducted on December 9, 2024, earning an overall score of “Exceeds Standards,” the highest rating possible. This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and leadership excellence of both the cadets and their instructors.

Lt Col Lester Ball (Ret) and SMSgt Michael Kilcullen (Ret) were praised for fostering a dynamic, supportive learning environment and their exceptional community outreach efforts. Their commitment to mentorship and character development provides cadets with unparalleled guidance, setting the foundation for success both in and out of the classroom.

The cadets displayed exemplary pride in their unit and demonstrated exceptional performance in achieving their goals. Their leadership and dedication underscore the program's success in shaping responsible citizens and future leaders.

The AFJROTC program at Clovis High School continues to make a positive impact on the school, the cadets, and the broader community. Superintendent Russ expressed her congratulations and gratitude to the instructors and cadets for their hard work and achievement.
