Clovis, NM – The Clovis High School (CHS) chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) demonstrated outstanding achievement at the New Mexico FCCLA State Conference, held February 26 – March 1 in Albuquerque, NM. The team proudly returned home with 12 National Qualifiers and multiple prestigious awards.
Joaquin Sanchez concluded his tenure as the Vice President of Finance for NM FCCLA, playing a vital role in leading the state conference. In addition, CHS FCCLA was honored with the 2024 Community Service Award for their commitment to the Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab collection, gathering an impressive 86 pounds of pop tabs through district-wide competitions involving elementary and high school students.
Adding to their accolades, CHS FCCLA was named the FCCLA State Champion for 2025 and achieved the Chapter of Distinction Gold Level. Furthermore, Joaquin Sanchez was elected as the NM FCCLA State President, while Jose Llamas Gallegos was elected as the 1st Vice President for the 2025-2026 school year.
