Bethanie Baker Named Principal of Marshall 6th Grade Academy

Clovis, NM - Marshall 6th Grade Academy is proud to announce the appointment of Bethanie Baker as its new principal. With a strong background in instructional leadership and a passion for student success, Baker brings seventeen years of experience in education to her new role.

Baker served as teacher on special assignment (TOSA) and as assistant principal at Yucca Middle School before joining Marshall 6th Grade Academy in 2023 as assistant principal. Known for fostering a positive campus culture and holding high expectations for both students and staff, she played a key role in launching innovative pilot programs focused on student performance and data collection. Her leadership and commitment to student well-being made her a valued resource among colleagues.

Before moving into administration, Baker taught sixth grade at La Casita Elementary School and seventh grade English at Yucca Middle School. Her commitment to purposeful instruction and academic growth has been evident throughout her career. Colleagues describe Baker as an honest, dedicated leader who is quick to take initiative and is committed to continuous improvement.

Baker holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University, a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Eastern New Mexico University, and completed the National School of Leadership for Administration.
