CLOVIS, N.M. — Clovis Municipal Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Woodard as the district’s Senior Director of Student Support Services, effective immediately.
Woodard brings more than a decade of experience in education, with a strong background in student services, compliance, and leadership. She most recently served as the district’s Title IX Director, where she led efforts to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, supported campuses in addressing student concerns, and provided training to staff and students on reporting procedures and student protections.
Throughout her career, Woodard has demonstrated a commitment to supporting students and building systems that promote safe, inclusive, and effective learning environments. In her previous roles with Clovis Municipal Schools, she served as Special Education Director and Special Education Liaison, where she oversaw student services, supported staff development, and ensured compliance with special education laws and best practices. She also served as an Incident Investigator and Teacher on Special Assignment, working closely with school administrators to address student behavior, investigate reports, and strengthen campus support systems.
Woodard earned a Master of Education Administration from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master of Criminal Justice, as well as bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and psychology, from New Mexico State University.
In her new role, Woodard will oversee the district’s Student Support Services, continuing to strengthen systems that support student well-being, ensure compliance, and provide resources for students, families, and staff.
