Clovis, NM — April 27, 2026 — Clovis High School Choir students delivered an outstanding performance at the NMAA State Choir Contest held April 25 in Rio Rancho, earning a rare double state championship.
For the first time in Clovis High School Choir history, and only the fourth time in the history of the state competition, a single school has swept both major choir divisions at the event.
The Women’s Select Choir was named state champion in the A–5A Treble Choir Division, while the Chamber Choir earned the state title in the 5A Mixed Choir Division.
This milestone highlights the strength of Clovis High School’s music program and reflects the continued dedication of its students and staff to excellence in the performing arts.
