CLOVIS, NM — Clovis Municipal Schools has named Ashley Turner as its new Senior Director of Technology, bringing more than a decade of district technology leadership and operational experience to the role.
Turner has served Clovis Municipal Schools for the past 13 years, most recently as Executive Coordinator of Technology, where she has led districtwide technology operations supporting more than 7,000 students and 1,400 staff members. Throughout her tenure, she has played a key role in advancing the district's technology infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, and implementing innovative solutions that support teaching, learning, and district operations.
"As technology continues to play an increasingly important role in education, Ashley has consistently demonstrated the leadership, expertise, and vision needed to keep our district moving forward," said Mandy Carpenter, Deputy Superintendent of Employee Services. "Her deep understanding of our systems, commitment to serving our schools, and passion for continuous improvement make her an excellent choice to lead our Technology Department."
As Senior Director of Technology, Turner will oversee the district's technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and technical support operations. She will continue working closely with district leaders to ensure technology investments align with the district's instructional priorities while providing reliable, secure, and innovative technology services for students and staff.
During her time with Clovis Municipal Schools, Turner has led numerous districtwide technology initiatives, including the implementation of a Single Sign-On (SSO) system, network and infrastructure modernization projects, cybersecurity enhancements, and enterprise system integrations. She has also overseen technology budgets, vendor partnerships, project management, and long-range technology planning while supervising technology personnel across the district.
Before serving as Executive Coordinator of Technology, Turner worked as a Technology Support Specialist, providing advanced technical support, staff training, and infrastructure support while helping implement major district technology initiatives.

Turner earned a Master of Information Technology from New Mexico State University in 2024. She also holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Information Systems from Eastern New Mexico University and an Associate of General Studies in IT Networking from Clovis Community College.
As Senior Director of Technology, Turner will continue leading efforts to strengthen the district's technology infrastructure, support instructional innovation, and ensure Clovis Municipal Schools remains well-positioned to meet the evolving technology needs of students, staff, and families.
