CLOVIS, N.M. — Clovis Municipal Schools has named Brandon Boerio as the district's new Executive Director of Talent Management and Development.

Boerio brings 24 years of experience in public education and a proven record of leadership in educator development, school administration, and human resources. Since joining Clovis Municipal Schools, he has served in several key leadership roles, including Director of Educator Quality from 2022 to 2026, Director of Music Education from 2017 to 2022, Assistant Principal at Yucca Middle School from 2015 to 2017, and Assistant Band Director at Clovis High School from 2007 to 2015. Before joining the district, he served as Head Band Director for Portales Municipal Schools from 2002 to 2007.

"Brandon has consistently demonstrated a commitment to supporting educators and building strong leadership across our district," said Deputy Superintendent of Employee Services Mandy Carpenter. "His experience, collaborative approach, and dedication to serving our employees make him an outstanding choice for his new position in Employee Services. We are excited to see the positive impact he will continue to make in this new role."

As part of this transition, Clovis Municipal Schools will absorb the responsibilities of the Director of Educator Quality, previously held by Boerio, into existing district leadership positions, reflecting the district's ongoing commitment to operational efficiency while maintaining strong support for teachers and school leaders. His work will continue to strengthen the district's commitment to providing outstanding educational experiences by investing in the people who serve Clovis students every day.

Boerio has been actively involved in professional organizations throughout his career. He currently serves as a board member of the New Mexico School Personnel Association (NMSPA). Prior to transitioning into Employee Services, he was a leader in music education, serving as President of the Southeast New Mexico Music Educators Association and as Percussion Coordinator and a board member for the New Mexico Music Educators Association (NMMEA). He has presented at the state level for NMMEA as both a clinician and keynote speaker, sharing strategies to motivate and equip educators for student success. Most recently, he presented at the 2026 NMSPA Conference on building capacity and confidence among school administrators.

Boerio earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master of Education from Wayland Baptist University. As he begins this new role, Boerio remains committed to fostering a culture where employees feel supported, valued, and empowered to help every student succeed.
