Ms. Saunders Class about traits and pea pods

Picture Collage of 3rd grade with their projects about pea pods

In 3rd grade they have been learning about traits and how they make us who we are, and where we get them from! After learning about Gregor Mendel's experiments on pea plants, Ms. Saunders' class created posters to explore how traits like height, pod color, and seed shape can vary within the species. Along with their group, each student illustrated different variations of pea plants, showing both dominant and recessive traits. The posters helped the class better understand how genetic variations can influence the characteristics of plants.
