Gattis Middle School eight-grade student Christian Ochoa was joined by his parents on Thursday, September 26, at the Taqueria Jalisco on Seventh Street as the Desayuno Kiwanis Club honored Clovis middle school and high school students of the month. Christian was recognized as an outstanding student at Gattis and was treated to breakfast and given a certificate of achievement by members of the group. This is what Christian told the members:
"I am an 8th grader at Gattis Middle School. I have an identical twin. I participate in football and track and field. Currently, I have plans to become a dentist. I am keeping my options open, but I am planning to go to Texas Tech."
