The CHS Cross Country Team ran short this week with the band runners at state, but our younger runners stepped up and performed beautifully. The varsity girls placed 1st and had four girls in the top six places. The varsity boys also placed 1st and had four boys in the top 11 places. Since we pulled up JV runners, we did not have enough to score our JV team.
The varsity girls have beaten every district team, and we are looking good for the district meet in Hobbs. The varsity boys have been going back and forth with Hobbs all season. We are excited to see what the team does with nine runners next weekend.
