Letās Keep Valentineās Day Safe and Focused on Learning
As Valentineās Day approaches, we want to share an important reminder about keeping our classrooms focused, safe, and distraction-free during this special season of celebration. While we recognize the joy that comes with sharing Valentineās gifts like flowers, balloons, or other items, we kindly ask families to avoid sending these items to school. Hereās why:
Safety and Responsibility: The district cannot assume responsibility for deliveries nor for any lost or damaged items. While these gestures are thoughtful, managing them during the school day can create challenges.
Transportation Rules: Flowers, balloons, and similar items are not permitted on school buses or other district transportation. If a student receives such items, alternate transportation must be arranged.
Minimizing Disruptions: School-day deliveries can interfere with teaching and learning. Our goal is to maintain an environment where students are fully engaged in their academic growth.
Don't forget Gattis has purchased some live tutoring sessions for parents to sign their students up for after-school hours. If you are interested in this for your child, please email Lori Gammill at lori.gammill@clovis-schools.org to get this started.
