Three talented students from Gattis Middle School recently traveled to Eastern New Mexico University to compete in the District Amazing Shake competition. The event kicked off with the āWork the Roomā round, an elimination challenge where students demonstrated their interpersonal skills and ability to navigate professional interactions. All three Gattis studentsāHartly Hamilton, Grayson Boerio, and Abby Radziewiczāstood out, earning spots in the final 20.
The competition continued with the highly anticipated āGauntletā round, where the students faced intense challenges designed to test their public speaking and critical thinking abilities. They were asked to pitch a mystery product, which they only learned about upon arrival. The students then gave impromptu speeches to an audience, followed by answering questions in a style similar to a āMiss Universeā pageant.
After showcasing their exceptional communication and presentation skills, Hartly Hamilton emerged as the district winner! This outstanding achievement earned Hartly the opportunity to travel to Atlanta in March to compete in the Global Amazing Shake competition, where they will face top students from around the world.
Congratulations to all the students who participated, and a special shout-out to our district champion, Hartly Hamilton, for their remarkable performance and for representing Gattis Middle School on the global stage!
