Ms. Wiggins, the FCCLA advisor for Gattis, is excited to announce that she is starting an after-school FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) program for our students. The group will meet Wednesdays after school from 3:45–5:15 PM in her classroom. If your student thinks this sounds fun, please have them sign up by emailing her at heather.wiggins@clovis-schools.org by September 12. The first meeting will be on September 17.

What students will do:

  • Participate in STAR Events, hands-on competitions where students showcase skills in areas like entrepreneurship, leadership, fashion, sports nutrition, and more.

  • Compete at regional events, with opportunities to advance to state and even national competitions if they qualify.

  • Learn valuable skills like public speaking, teamwork, project management, and problem-solving—all while earning recognition for their efforts.

Why FCCLA is great:

  • Students make new friends and work together on fun, meaningful projects.

  • Build leadership, confidence, and real-world skills that benefit school, college, and beyond.

  • Engage in community service and school projects that make a positive impact.

If your student is interested, please email Ms. Wiggins by September 12 at heather.wiggins@clovis-schools.org to sign up.
