As we begin September, we would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. The start of the year has been full of energy and excitement, and we are eager to keep building on that momentum.
You will find our Weekly Memo below which includes important updates and reminders for the month. In addition, I’d like to share some of our key goals for this semester:
Academic Goals
ELA/History/Science: Students will strengthen their reading and writing skills by embedding evidence into their work and producing clear, thoughtful written responses.
Math: Students will build problem-solving and reasoning skills through real-world applications, regular math talks, and written explanations of their thinking.
Culture & Community Goals
Strengthen student belonging through our House system, monthly activities, and positive behavior supports.
Improve attendance by keeping families engaged and informed, and decrease referrals through the use of restorative practices.
Congratulations to the House of Amistad!
Amistad is leading in points for August, and their house flag will proudly hang on the flagpole for the month of September!
These goals are part of our 90-Day Plan, which guides how teachers and staff will support learning and growth across all grade levels. Together, we are focused on ensuring that every student feels challenged, supported, and connected.
