We have a very busy and exciting week ahead at GMS with midterms, athletic events, and preparations for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Midterms
Please encourage your child to set goals and review class materials each day. When possible, spend time asking them questions or having them explain what theyāve learnedāthis helps solidify their understanding. Teachers will also be reaching out with specific suggestions on how to best support your childās midterm preparation.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences will take place on Friday, from 7:45 to 3:45, and are scheduled as a come-and-go event. Please plan on attending, as it truly takes a partnership between home and school to support our studentsā success.
Teachers will be located in the cafeteria (7th grade) or auxiliary gym (8th grade).
Your childās CUB teacher will be reaching out to you this week to ensure you have the details you need.
We look forward to meeting with you to celebrate progress and set goals for the remainder of the semester.
Attendance Matters
Consistent attendance is one of the biggest predictors of student success. Every day counts!
Missing just 2 days a month adds up to nearly an entire month of lost learning over the school year.
Students who attend regularly are more likely to keep up with assignments, perform better on assessments, and build stronger connections with teachers and peers.
Strong attendance helps students establish the work habits that will carry them into high school, college, and beyond.
We appreciate your partnership in making daily attendance a priorityāit truly makes a difference.
Athletics & School Spirit
We encourage you to come out and support our Cubs at their games. Our studentsā faces light up when they see their families and teachers in the stands.
