October Updates

We hope you’re having a great start to October! Please take a moment to review the attached memo for important dates and upcoming events happening at Gattis.

Also, please see the attached Title IX letter — our students will participate in a Title IX presentation either this week or next, as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting safety, respect, and awareness.

Nine-Weeks Testing This Week

Our 9-Weeks Tests are taking place this week. Please take a moment to encourage your child to review for each of their tests and come to school prepared.

Attendance matters — students perform best when they are present, well-rested, and ready to show what they know. Thank you for helping us support your child’s success by ensuring they attend each day and give their best effort.

Trunk-or-Treat & Haunted House Event

Wednesday, October 23rd | 5:30–7:00 PM | Gattis Middle School

We’re thrilled to announce our annual Trunk-or-Treat and Haunted House Event, hosted by the Houses of Reveur and Altruismo! This fun, family-friendly evening will include decorated trunks, an escape room, and lots of treats — but we need your help to make it a sweet success!

We Need Candy Donations!

To ensure plenty of treats are available for everyone, we’re asking for candy donations to be sent to school with your student and given to their Cub teacher by Friday, October 18th.

 Incentives:

  •  The class that donates the most candy will win a donut and juice party during their Cub class!

  • Every student who donates will earn House points for their House.

  •  The student who donates the most candy overall will receive a FREE yearbook!

Thank you for supporting our Houses and helping make this event a fun and memorable night for our students and families!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Sherrina Shaw at sherrina.shaw@clovis-schools.org.

We can’t wait to see everyone on October 23rd for a night full of fun, friendship, and fall spirit!
