Midterm Exams: All Subjects
This week is a critical time for our students as we conduct midterm exams in all subjects. These tests are designed to measure how much our students have learned so far this nine-week period and to identify areas where they may need extra support before the end of the quarter.
We strongly encourage all students to dedicate time to studying this week. Reviewing notes, study guides, and revisiting previous assignments will help ensure they feel confident and prepared. Parents, please help your students create a quiet space at home for review and encourage them to do their very best!
National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
In addition to midterms, select students will participate in the NAEP test (often called "The Nation's Report Card") this week.
What is it? A national assessment that measures student progress across the country.
Who takes it? A specific group of students randomly selected by the state.
Why it matters: It provides vital data on the health of our national education system.
Attendance & High Expectations
Our Semester 1 attendance average was 90%. We want to beat that goal! Success on midterms starts with being in class every single day.
Reminder: Valentine’s Bash!
Don’t forget the NJHS Valentine’s Bash is coming up!
The Challenge: Students must have NO discipline referrals between February 2nd and February 13th to be eligible.
The Cost: $5.00
The Rule: Students must be at school for the entire day of the event to participate.

Exámenes de mitad de período: Todas las materias
Esta semana realizaremos exámenes de mitad de período en todas las materias. Estos exámenes miden el aprendizaje de estas 9 semanas. Animamos a los estudiantes a estudiar revisando sus apuntes y guías de estudio. Padres, por favor ayuden a sus hijos a crear un espacio tranquilo para estudiar.
Evaluación Nacional del Progreso Educativo (NAEP)
Esta semana, algunos estudiantes seleccionados participarán en la prueba NAEP (conocida como el "Boletín de Calificaciones de la Nación"). Si su estudiante fue seleccionado, ya ha sido notificado. Asegúrese de que descanse bien y desayune saludablemente.
Asistencia y altas expectativas
Nuestra asistencia del primer semestre fue del 90%. ¡Queremos superar esa meta! El éxito en los exámenes comienza con estar en clase todos los días.
