State testing is scheduled for this week, April 13–16. Please take a moment to review the Electronic Device Policy letter, which outlines the strict security requirements set by the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED).
To ensure a successful testing environment, we are encouraging students to leave electronic devices at home. If a device is brought to school, it must be turned off and stored according to teacher instructions before testing begins. Please note that having a device in one's possession during testing is a violation of state policy and may result in the device being confiscated and searched.
Testing Reward Day
We are excited to announce a Reward Day in May for students who demonstrate excellence and commitment during EVERY test this week! To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
Attendance: Be present for all testing sessions.
Preparation: Have your Chromebook present and powered up (charged to at least 75% in the morning).
Active Effort: Demonstrate active effort for the duration of the test (30+ minutes) and utilize scratch paper for problem-solving on the math portion.
Focused Environment: Maintain a focused environment and enjoy a physical book quietly once the assessment is complete.
Device Security: Keep all personal electronics (phones and smartwatches) securely put away to ensure a distraction-free space.
Leadership: Demonstrate positive leadership and follow all campus expectations until testing concludes for the day.
These assessments provide vital information regarding student learning, and we are confident our students will do their very best. Thank you for your continued support.
