On May 12, Gattis FCCLA traveled to Santa Fe for their end of the year trip. Students toured the New Mexico State Capitol (the Roundhouse), where they learned about the history of the rotunda, the House and Senate chambers, and the role state government plays in New Mexico. Students also explored the Capitol’s artwork, including pieces from artists across the state that highlight New Mexico’s diverse culture, history, and traditions.
Later, students enjoyed an interactive experience at Meow Wolf Santa Fe, where they explored immersive art installations, hidden passageways, and creative exhibits designed to encourage curiosity and imagination. The trip gave students the opportunity to experience leadership, history, art, and creativity outside the classroom while celebrating a successful year in FCCLA.
