Over the weekend, four talented young ladies from Clovis High School Freshman Academy showcased their exceptional skills and dedication at the State Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) competition. The event brought together students from across the state to compete in various STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events, highlighting their achievements in different categories. Isabel Sanchez emerged as a standout participant, earning a well-deserved Gold and securing first place in the Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation, Level 2, STAR event. Her outstanding performance not only garnered recognition at the state level but also qualified her for the prestigious National competition, in Seattle, Washington. Hailey Holmes displayed her creativity in the Repurpose and Redesign, Level 2, category, earning a Silver and claiming third place. Her innovative approach and dedication caught the attention of judges, marking her as a rising star in the Repurpose and Redesign event. In the Interior Design STAR event, Level 2, Allyanah Deshoutel and Jazleyn Quintana collaborated seamlessly, earning them a Silver medal and achieving third place in their team event category. Their impressive performance serves as a testament to their talent and commitment. Participants who achieve Gold or Silver in their respective events qualify for the National competition. Although Isabel Sanchez secured a well-deserved first place, the road to nationals awaits only the top two teams or individuals in each category. Nevertheless, the accomplishments of these young ladies at the state level underscore their dedication and promise a bright future. Clovis High School Freshman Academy and its FCCLA chapter congratulate Isabel Sanchez, Hailey Holmes, Allyanah Deshoutel, and Jazleyn Quintana on their remarkable achievements at the State FCCLA competition. Their success not only reflects their individual talents but also speaks to the school's commitment to nurturing excellence and leadership among its students. WAY TO GO FRESHMAN ACADEMY!
