Peek-a-boo: Take a sneak peak at recent updates to the Los Niños Child Development Center

Our team has been hard at work preparing to welcome our youngest Wildcats to Los Niños Child Development Center for the 2026-2027 school year.

In the weeks leading up to opening, the facility has been undergoing updates to ensure it is ready for children to learn, play, and grow. From classrooms and indoor play areas to a child-friendly cafeteria, every space is being prepared with our youngest learners in mind.

Los Niños Child Development Center is Clovis Municipal Schools’ employee childcare center, created to support district staff with high-quality early childhood care for children ages 12 to 48 months. Located at 3001 N. Thornton, the center offers year-round, full-day care in a play-based, developmentally appropriate environment, with breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided.

Los Niños is led by experienced early childhood educators and district-certified instructional staff, with a focus on providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive. The program is funded through New Mexico’s Universal Child Care Program (UCC) and is offered at no cost to CMS employees and the children of students currently enrolled at CMS, though families must apply for UCC.

Families can stay up to date by visiting the Los Niños website at www.clovis-schools.org/los-ninos. Registration through Synergy will be available later this month.
