Meet The Principal
Shelly Smith, a dedicated and dynamic educator with 18 years of experience in the Clovis Municipal Schools, was named principal of Parkview Elementary in the spring of 2024.
Throughout her career, Smith has made a lasting impact on students across various grade levels, showcasing her versatility and passion for education.
Smith's journey began at the Arts Academy at Bella Vista in 2006, where she spent over a decade inspiring fourth and fifth graders with her innovative teaching approach. Her transition to
Marshall Middle School, where she taught math for two years, demonstrated her ability to adapt and thrive in new challenges. In 2021, she was selected for the role of Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) at Cameo Elementary, a position that further honed her leadership skills. By the 2023-2024 school year, Smith had stepped into the role of principal at Cameo, guiding the school through its final chapter before its closure. Smith was then entrusted with the opportunity to take on the role of principal at Parkview Elementary.
A proud Clovis High School graduate, Smith was brought to the area as an Air Force dependent. She later earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from Wayland Baptist University, with a specialization in Reading.
Smith, a proud member of the House of Reveur, believes in creating an environment where every student feels respected, valued, and excited to learn. Her leadership at Parkview promises to be a time of growth, positivity, and continued dedication to making school a happy and inspiring place for all students.
