The Clovis High School Freshman Academy Jazz Bands also competed at the Eastern New Mexico University Jazz Fest, securing a Second Place overall, Best Trombone Section and Best Trumpet Section, with Nathan Bjorklund recognized as Most Outstanding Soloist.
In performance assessment, bands are adjudicated in two different categories: Concert Performance and Sight Reading. Groups are graded on a 100-point scale and groups given a score of 90 or higher are considered āSuperiorā in their rating.
