Yucca Middle School

Yucca is proud of the performance of our Top 3 Amazing Shake contestants at the District Competition. Sara Lee, MacKayla Smith, and Lillian Strebeck traveled to Eastern New Mexico University on Tuesday, February 4th to compete against 4th through 8th grade students from across Clovis Municipal School District in the Amazing Shake. Students began the morning in a "Work the Room" scenario. From there students were eliminated and the competition was reduced to the Top 20. Lillian Strebeck earned a spot in the Top 20 and advanced to the afternoon round, The Gauntlet. On Thursday evening students will attend an awards ceremony to find out who earned the top 3 spots and will be attending the Global Amazing Shake in Atlanta, GA in March.
