Our track kids had a great day of competition this week. Our girls took 2nd place overall scoring 78 points. Our boys placed 7th overall and have continued showing improvement!
Some highlights for the boys:
Brian Burns took 3rd place in shot put
Aaron Warren set a new school record and won the high jump with a clearing of 5 feet 8 inches!
Girls highlights:
Krisalyn Barner took 1st place in the 100 meter hurdles.
Krisalyn Barner also took 3rd place in the girls high jump.
7th grader Lillian Strebeck took 3rd in the 800 meter open
Lillian also took 2nd overall in the girls mile.
Skylar Hamilton placed 3rd in the girls discus.
7th grader Evelitt Salinas took 3rd overall in the triple jump.
Aspyn Fickling took 1st overall in the 300 meter hurdles.
Aspyn also took 2nd place overall in the girls long jump.
Ellie Wiegel took 2nd overall in the 100 meter dash.
Ellie also took 3rd in the girls long jump.
7th grader Deanna Chavez took 2nd in BOTH the shotput and discus!
The girls sprint medley relay took 2nd place by just under a second. This team includes Ellie Wiegel, Aspyn Fickling, Krisalyn Barner, and Yaretzi Sanchez!
The girls 1600 Meter Relay took home first overall! This team includes Makaela Montoya, Ellie Wiegel, Krisalyn Barner, and Aspyn Fickling.
Lady Chaps worked hard tonight and brought home some hardware for the second straight meet.
