Last Night February 25, 2025 Olivia, and Mark attended the Board Meeting in hopes to have them approve Olivia's trip to Atlanta for the Amazing Shake. The Board did approve of her trip and they were very excited as are we that she gets to go and represent Barry STEAM academy! Way to Go Olivia!!! The pictures are of Olivia and Mark talking to a few of the Board members!! What an amazing couple of kids! Good Job Good Job!!
Friday, March 14, 2025 will be a Data Day. A previous version of the calendar listed this day as a Parent-Teacher Conference Day.
There will be no school for students on this day; however, teachers and staff will be working and administrative offices will remain open.
While there are no scheduled parent-teacher conferences on March 14, parents who wish to meet with their child's teacher are encouraged to reach out directly to schedule a conference at a mutually convenient time.
Lockwood Early Childhood Center will be holding parent-teacher conferences for their 3Y and 4Y classes on March 14th.

Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, February 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents Day. All district offices will be closed.
**UPDATE, As of 9:54 AM power has been restored at Barry, Highland and Sandia.** Power outages are currently affecting Barry Elementary, Sandia Elementary, and Highland Elementary as of 8 a.m. on Feb. 12,2025. Crews are working to restore service, but no estimated time for restoration is available. Breakfast has been served and instruction will continue. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
