BARRY STEAM ACADEMY is now an Anchored 4 Life location! We are so proud of our ambassadors and the training they went through. They learned how to properly give a tour to our new students/parents, and enhanced their social skills. They will get to improve their self-esteem, build character, and integrate it into our community starting this year. We are now one of the many campuses who have joined A4L and can not wait too see what next year brings.

M-is for Museum
Mrs. Brišenos' classroom was transformed into a Shape Museum as students brought in 3D shapes from home to share and display! This hands-on activity allowed students to explore geometry in a fun, interactive way while also learning proper museum etiquette—practicing respectful observation, quiet voices, and curiosity. It was a creative and educational experience enjoyed by all!

Our MINI AMAZING SHAKE winners, and just a few pictures of our judges with our contestants. The Fourth grade got a taste of what to expect next year when it comes to the Amazing Shake. We are proud of them and can't wait too see what magic they bring along next time!!!

The 1st and 2nd grade got to travel to Cannon AFB for a STEM day Monday! They got to learn about firetrucks, aircraft, and different equipment that the Military use. They got to learn about communication devices, and learn how to survive with some of the tools the military is given! The Barry STEAM Academy kids had a blast and can't wait to go again next year! Huge Thank you to the CANNON AFB for hosting not just us but a few other schools!

Last week in preparation for STATE Tests this week the 3rd-5th graders went through a Bootcamp. They were mentally and physically tired going home everyday! In the classroom they had Drills which consisted of reviews over things that needed to be worked on or what they learned at the beginning of the year. Then every so often they would have a 15 minute brain break to get their wiggles out and relax their brain! We had a lot of fun Monday the Fire Department stopped by and showed our kids just how strong you need to be to unroll and pull those wonderful water hose. Then we had an obstacle course and practice with cadences/marching on Tuesday! Wednesday was even more fun with capture the flag and rock, paper, scissors. Whew by Thursday everyone was loving the bootcamp while being wore out, but they learned how to roll shirts military style, and raced in a relay. Friday to finish out the week the kids got to write inspirational sayings to get them pumped for the tests, and learned what PT(physical training) was like. Overall the kids had a blast and reviewed everything important that they learned all year to be ready for the test!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!! YALL GOT THIS!!!
