Volunteers Needed
You are invited to join us for an upcoming volunteer training session. All volunteers are required to attend training before volunteering at a school campus or event. Sessions last around 45 minutes, and you only have to attend one session.
Fall 2025 Volunteer Training Sessions:

September 9th–6:30pm
September 18th–1:30pm
October 7th–6:30pm
October 21st–1:30pm
November 6th–6:30pm
November 13th–1:30pm
All Volunteer Trainings will be held at the CMS Central Office

Students at Clovis High School and Clovis High School Freshman Academy will need to show their school ID for free admission. Students in middle and elementary school can have free entry if accompanied by a paying adult (parent/guardian).

At Barry STEAM Academy, we want every kindergartner to have the best possible start to their school journey. Every year we host a 1-hour Kinder Camp before the school year officially begins. It’s a short, fun, and welcoming experience where your child can visit the classroom, meet our kindergarten team, explore some hands-on activities, meet new friends, and get a little taste of what school will feel like in a low-stress, supportive environment. It also gives us a chance to start learning about your child—what excites them, what helps them feel safe, and how we can best support them as they transition into kindergarten. With this experience, we’re able to make thoughtful, intentional decisions that set your child up for a strong and successful start to the year. Please call the school if you need to set up a time to attend the kinder camp!!
We know starting school is a big milestone, and Kinder Camp helps make that first day feel a lot more familiar and a little less scary—for both kids and parents. Once your child is placed, your child’s teacher will contact you.
New Wireless Device Guidelines for 2025–2026
To comply with a new state law, Clovis Municipal Schools has updated its rules for phones, tablets, smartwatches, smart glasses, and headphones/earbuds:
K-8: Off and out of sight during the school day
9-12: Off during class; allowed at lunch & before/after school
Staff: Use only for professional purposes during instruction
✅ Exceptions apply for emergencies, medical needs, and documented accommodations.

Para cumplir con una nueva ley estatal, las escuelas de Clovis Municipal Schools han adoptado neuvas reglas para el uso de aparatos electronicos, incluidos teléfonos, tabletas, relojes inteligentes, gafas intelifentes y audifonos/auriculares.
K-8.º grado: Los aparatos deben estar apagados y fuera de la vista durante el día escolar.
9.º-12.º grado: Los aparatos deben estar apagados durante las clases, pero se permiten en el almuerzo y antes/después de la escuela.
